We are still trying to get last minute holiday plans done. It feels like I have been baking cookies for weeks! I am very thankful to have today off! I have a ton of stuff to do! Jacob is still at his grandma's house and didn't want to come home last night because they where going to roast marshmellows. So Isabelle is about to go to "school" for a few hours so I can get some work done, mommy's little "helper" is a pretty big mess maker, and a bit spoiled too! So here are some of our pics from the Christmas photo shoot the kids did a few weekends ago..mommy, daddy and Bradon are MIA....daddy was in France, Brandon was working I think, and it was all mommy could do to get the kids bathed, dressed and out the door!!

Car Show

We loaded up and went to the car show today. It was Jacob's first time he was so excited to go! He kept running around yelling "Look at that hot rod daddy!" He was so excited and wanted to take pictures of all the hot rods. I will spare you a look at any of those photos, let's just say he didn't wait long enough for the picture to take before he was moving the camera, and with all the lights there are some quite interesting photos! He did get to meet Venom and Wolfe from American Gladiators. He thought that was really "sweet"!!

Tonight we celebrated our first "holiday" in our new home. Jacob has been looking forward to trick-or-treating for a few months now, and he was so excited to get ready. Our neighbors organized a block party/meet your neighbors party. We had a really good time! All the kids (about 15) went door to door as a group to collect their candy! Jacob came home with a bag full, even considering that there is still not very many houses in the neighborhood yet! I must say I was pretty bad about taking pictures (I need to work on that!)

I got a group pic of all the kiddos in the costumes, a few of Jacob, and none of Isabelle until she finally fell asleep in the stroller!!

and ALOT of catching up to do!! It feels great to have a home again! We still have boxes every where but at least all of our belongings are under 1 roof, and not in storage!

I am hoping to do alot of "catch-up" posts soon (in between all the un-packing!)

So those of you who don't know we built our new home in The Falls at Imperial Oaks with David Weekley. We had a great experience with our builder and really love how our home turned out.

I have been neglecting my blog with good reason. We have had so much going on the last few months. We are at the present moment trying to get everything out of our house to close on the 15th. We sure have accumulated alot of stuff over the last 7 years here! I promise to do lot's of updates once things settle down.. by the way Isabelle is walking now and in June and July she cut 4 more teeth (that make 12 now I think!)

Pre K Graduation

Jacob had his pre-K graduation program from school today. All the kids were so cute... They sang songs, showed off their skills at spanish, and sign language too. Then they had a little diploma presentation and each kid had said what they wanted to be when they grow up. As there teachers announced their names and what they were going to be they walked up to receive their "diploma"!! It was so cute. There is a little video at the end of this post. Jacob wants to be a future football player!! Well he certainly has the body structure for it!

Isabelle is 9 months old today! She is so independent and wants to feed herself so tonight I stripped her down to her diaper and let her "feed" herself. She was so happy and made the biggest mess!! I don't know if I am going to be doing that again anytime soon!!

Isabelle has been so funny lately..she wants to eat!! She loves those little puffy fruit stars

and those wagon wheels !

Tonight I thought we would try Cheerios for the first time, and she really seemed to like them. She has been a little particular about feeding herself, she hasn't really been interested in her baby foods, and cries but as soon as she has something she can feed herself she is so happy!!!

Sunday was 'baby' Koen's birthday party, Jacob always calls him baby Koen.. We had a really great time at Rocket City Fun Station.

He had such a blast playing all the games. He actually rode his very first ride on bumper cars and I think he now has a new favorite! Here's a few pics of cute lil Koen!!

When we got home and Jacob was suppose to be taking a nap he lost another tooth, so that makes his 5th tooth lost since last year! That tooth fairy must have a money tree!!!

Busy Weekend!!

Well this weekend was a busy one! We definitely could use an extra day to rest and relax!! Saturday afternoon we went to see "Walking With Dinosaurs" at The Toyota Center. It was really cool, and Jacob was so excited. He had such a busy weekend I don't think he stopped talking all weekend.

After the show we decided to drive to Kemah and got to the boardwalk... We will never again do this on a Saturday evening!!! The traffic was horrible, and there was no place to park, even in the parking garage, finally we ended up valet parking at The Aquarium. I would have gladly paid $20 just to get out of the car...that's how bad the traffic was, and how much time we spent in the car!!!
We went ahead and decided to eat at The Aquarium since it was getting late...it actually turned out to be the best choice. We didn't have to wait long, and they sat us right by one of the tanks and it totally kept Isabelle mezmerized!!

I spent my birthday this year at the Mercer Arboretum plant sale or 'The March Mart'...It has become an anual tradition for me and my mom. I don't usually take Jacob, and last year I was pregnant, but this year both kiddos came along! It was fun but there were alot of people there. There usually is a huge line waiting to get in by 7:30 am, but this year we came a little later than usual for us. I got a few snapshots of the kids enjoying the pretty weather!

I only got a couple of pictures of Isabelle on Easter, she fell asleep at church and stayed asleep until we got home. I think she was still tired from her late night Saturday! I did manage to snap this one below before church started!

Baptism -part II

I didn't have alot of time to post before, but wanted to tell a little more about the Baptism.
The ceremony was held in the evening at 7:30 for the Easter Vigil services. It was a very special time to be baptized, and the ceremony was beautiful. We we unable to take photos during the service, but did get to video a bit of the service. The ceremony started in darkness with a few candles burning throughout the church. A fire was kindled in the narthex of the church, and then the Paschal Candle was lit from the fire and the light was spread amongst the church (everyone had little candles to hold). The Paschal Candle lead the procession into the church and was placed in its stand before the alter. (This was the same candle from which the individual baptism candles were lit.) Easter lilles lined the alter of the church...

Isabelle did so well...she looked like a little angel... she was very good for the service, and ended up falling asleep before she was to be baptized. She slept like an angel in my arms as we all paraded to the back of the church to the baptismal font. She was the third baby to be baptized that evening. She stayed asleep and didn't wake up as the waters fell across her sweet head..

Took the kiddos to Town Green in The Woodlands since the weather was pretty. We rode the trolley from Market Street to the mall and back. We have never done that before and it was pretty fun, especially since the trolley drivers are like tour guides and fill you in on all the upcoming events in the area. There are alot of exciting things coming up in The Woodlands, it's going to be a really neet place to go once everything is completed.

EEG

Well today was a busy day for us. To start the tooth fairy came by last night. Jacob's top tooth has been hanging by a "string" for a few weeks now. He woke up this morning and it was in his mouth...or his bed....or under his bed.... I am actually not sure where it is, but I am not going to look that hard for it, f you know what I mean!!! Anyway Jacob said the tooth fairy came while he was sleeping so it wouldn't hurt when she pulled out his loose tooth! He racked up, I think she left him $6. Jacob had his EEG today, he really didn't want any part of it, as evidenced by the pictures below...he was hiding out in the bathroom!!

After much coaxing and bribing, Jacob let the lady put all the wires on his head.. he made me take a picture so he could see himself! He had to try to lay pretty still ( very difficult for any 5 year old I know!!) They had him closing his eyes, hyperventilating, and flashing lights at his eyes.. he did really well considering he was pretty scared..

These are the only tears he cried...and they were only because of the tape coming off... (of course a little warning on the part of the EEG tech would have been nice) but he let mommy take the other ones off "solftly" and "gently" Hopefully we should have some results next week sometime, we are praying for good results!

Six month check-up

Isabelle had her 6 month check-up today, and all was well! She has put on a little weight and a few inches! She was in such a good mood smiling and laughing to everyone. She did very well with her shots though, and only cried for a few minutes.

The newest "growth statistics" are:
weight: 14 lbs. 12 oz.
height: 24 3/4 in.
head circ: 41 1/2 cm.

On another health subject, Jacob had an "episode" at school on Monday that really scared his teachers (and mommy & daddy too!) Anyway the short version of the story is that he may be having absence seizures. You can read more about what an absence seizure is HERE. I will post more as we know more ourselves.

Strawberry Fields & Chocolate Faces

Today we went to pick strawberries at, King's Orchard, in Plantersville. The weather this weekend was so pretty. I had to spend my whole day inside on Saturday, so after church on Sunday we made plans to get outside!! My mom and I drove down with the kids and we picked berries until they closed. It was alot of work, but they are sure worth it!

Jacob's absolute favorite thing is pulling the red wagon.

Yes Isabelle is in there, I had to pull the plastic cover down because the wind was so strong and cold!

Jacob was so funny he would pick a strawberry and yell "I got a beauty!!"

Isabelle got a new highchair today & it swallows her up! She looks so tiny in it, and the harness won't even adjust small enough! We have started putting her in it while we eat dinner at the table, and I think she really enjoys the view from her new Chicco!

Jacob has been telling me his tooth was loose, and yes it sure was! He celebrated Leap Day with Daddy at his favorite kolache store, and lost his top front tooth! This is Jacob's 3rd tooth he has lost...he lost his 2 bottom teeth last year in April if I remember correctly! He was so proud ( and relieved ) to have lost this tooth! I think is was really getting on his nerves, plus he wanted the tooth fairy to visit him...which she did! Jacob got a crisp $10 bill!! ( I think I only got some shiny quarters and 50 cent pieces when I was a kid!) Inflation!!!

About 3 weeks ago I started noticing it looked like Isabelle was cutting her top 2 front teeth, and she was. They have popped out enough to actually snap some photos! She has been pretty fussy, drooling, and putting EVERYTHING in her mouth! I was looking a little closer at her mouth, and maybe I am crazy but it looks like she is also cutting teeth next to her top front teeth...You can't really see them, but they look like they are poking through her gums the way her 2 top teeth did! Here's a few pics....

Today Isabelle is 6 months old! I cannot believe she is 1/2 a year old!!! We had a little 'photo session' on the changing table this morning after her bath. She was in a really good mood, but I didn't get alot of smiles...

The kids and I went with Robin and Victoria to Chocolate Soup, it is a really cute little clothing store near Towne & Country mall (which actually isn't there any more). I think they call it Town and Country Village. Anyway they have the cutest clothes for kids, and always have really great prices for boutique items. We had the kids pose for a few photos by the water fountain, then we went to eat at Cafe Express. Yum!

Today we went to Lumberton to Blake & Bailey's Birthday party. It was so much fun and such a beautiful day! Aunt Wendi had alot of fun activities planned.. there was egg decorating, cookie decorating, an egg hunt, pinata, cake, ice cream! Oh boy!! Jacob had a great time!!! We really had a great time visiting with old friends!!

After the party we went by to see Paw Paw Bennie.. we went to eat and then stopped by Starbucks on our way out to get some coffee to keep us awake for the drive home. Jacob got a digital camera for his birthday and for some reason he had to bring it with us today. So it went to church and out to eat with us! We went to Uptown Park, to eat at Potbelly Sandwich Works, and then went to Starbucks after. Jacob wanted to take some pictures of the crocodile he saw, but some how ended up with this picture of dirt! I convinced him it would be better to take his pic with the statues instead! The quality isn't that great but not bad for a kid's camera!

Yes, it's Christmas at my house, again.... Jacob's friend Victoria came over to exchange presents with him and Isabelle. The kids always have such a good time together. So much that sometimes we have a hard time getting them apart! They enjoyed ripping into their gifts, scattering wrapping paper everywhere! It looked like Christmas morning all over again! Jacob got some Transformer pj's, t-shirts, toys, but I think his favorite by far was his books! Aunt Robin always buys the best books! He always loves them, go figure I guess that's why she's a librarian huh??!!

Boils are bad....

Saturday we took Jacob to the ER, he has been having some problems off and on with boils. They are very distressing to him and us too! He has had some problems with them off and on since May! Every so often one seems to get really bad, but never this bad. The ER doc did a little procedure called an I & D, or incision and drainage. Basically just numbing the area and opening up the abscess so it can drain. Needless to say it was very hard on him and us. Afterwards we took him to Fuddrucker's to eat and play games. Later that evening he went to the movies with Daddy to see Alvin and The Chipmunks movie. He seemed ok (we were trying to make up to him for having such a rotten day!)

After church on Sunday we went back for a wound check, and everything was looking good. Jacob was feeling alot better, but still doesn't like anyone touching or even looking at his "bo-bo"
Scott wasn't feeling good either, so he was seen as well, and long story short he has bronchitis. One of these days we are all going to be feeling good at the same time!!

Isabelle is 5 months old today!!! I can't believe it, already! We have been struggling with baby excema. Poor baby just claws at her head... I had to go to Babies R Us and buy some more of those hand mittens like you use for newborns! They help keep her from digging her fingers into her skin, even though it seems I cut her nails every other day!! It is very hard to treat right now since it is like 47 degrees outside, and we have been running the heater in the house.

Here's a pic of the back of her head, this actually looks really good compared with how it was this past weekend. It is hard to keep the lotions and ointments on it because she rubs her head like a little cat on whatever she can, and it all comes off!!

These pics were in her swing this morning before I went to work. I try to take pictures every month so I can compare each month.

Tonight Scott and I went to Pappa's, with his boss and 3 co-workers from France. The food was really good, but I was tired, and would have rather been in my pj's at home!! I need to work on that though, it is just hard for me to be away from the kids, even though I know it is healthy to be away from them some too!

Jacob has a field trip tomorrow! He is really excited, especially since he missed the last 2 field trips because he was sick. Tomorrow they are going to a cool place called Shankz. I have never heard of it until now, but I think he will really have a good time. He wants me to go with him, but I have to go to work :( I am sure he will forget about Mommy as soon as he sees that cool looking dinosaur! I am sure he will come home talking a mile a minute about how cool it was!!

She has been pretty miserable, and I have been pretty tired as a result!

So I have been keeping up with this little family lately through their blog. (Blogging is so addictive.. I have no idea how i found their blog by the way)

Anyway they seem like a really cute and sweet young couple..Their names are Nate and Tricia, this is Nate's blog....

Tricia has CF (cystic fibrosis), and was preparing to have a double lung transplant when they found out they were expecting.... This blog is Nate's day to day accounts of his time spent with Tricia, who is in ICU, and sweet little Gwyneth, who is in NICU.....

They need lot's of prayer, so if you have some time, go over and read a little about their little family and wish them well...

Isabelle's 4 month check-up

Well I am a little late in getting to this post, but better late than never, right? So last Monday, January 7th, Isabelle had her 4 month check up. Dr. S. said she looks really good and healthy! Yea!! Even though everyone else had been sick, Dr. S. said it was still ok for her to get her shots! Poor baby, she did so good, and she hardly cried for very long at all.

We got the go ahead to start baby foods! (we have already started with a little rice cereal) How fun! Dr. S. wants us to start with veggies first and finish those before moving to fruits. Makes sense but I know with Jacob I did fruits first. maybe that's why he's not much of a veggie eater now! Of course he's really not a big fruit eater either, oh well!

So I ran by Target on my way home to pick up some baby foods. I didn't know what we were going to start with first so I bought every veggies in Gerber 1st foods! We ended up starting with squash!! I thought that sounded particularly yummy!! (at least it didn't smell too bad!)

She still is trying to 'figure out' this baby food thing, but I am sure she'll get it. She not really eating very much at all, but it's fun to watch her facial expressions in reaction to the different tastes!! So fun! My poor baby is so sick, he got his own cold wash cloth and put it over his forehead. I walked back in from the kitchen and found him like this! Doesn't he look pitiful?

But this will be gone in about a week, vs. 9 months!!!

Scott took me to the Minute Clinic yesterday because I wanted to be screened for strep throat.

Good news is I don't have strep throat, but I do have the flu! :(

They do a nasal swab and stick the swap in this little test thing, anyway if the line turns pink in 10 minutes, then you have the flu.

Mine turned pink in like 3 minutes!

It sucks but at least I know for sure what I have (I didn't take the flu shot this year)

Anyway, Scott has started on Tamiflu, which I cannot take (breastfeeding & must be within 48 hrs. of symptoms).

Unfortunately Jacob crawled into bed with us last night, burning up with fever!

So he too now has that horrible flu bug! :( Poor baby, he looks so pitiful....

I am taking a few days off from blogging as I have been sick.. :(

I started feeling bad Thursday as my shift was ending, and then felt horrible Friday at work, and it has just gotten worse! I feel like I swallowed about a box of razor blades! Also my ears feel like they are going to POP!! So until I get better I will have no updates. I have been in bed most of the weekend alternating from several layers of blankets to having the ceiling fan on full blast!

It is the cutest little line I found before Christmas! She has 3 outfits, and 1 pair of jammies.

She has been so cute lately cooing and talking. This week she has also been blowing lots of spit bubbles and making 'rasberries' at you too. I also caught her laughing and giggling in her sleep this week, so sweet and cute!

Our New Years festivities were pretty low key this year, we both had to work on Monday, and I was oncall New Year's day, so Scott went and bought some fireworks for Jacob and we stayed in. Jacob had such a good time watching Daddy pop off all the fireworks. We usually have some neighbors behind us that pop off some really good ones too!

This train was pretty cool... it's a little hard trying to capture a shot at a firework in the dark!

Jacob really enoyed his sparklers!He almost made it... It sure got really quiet so I went and checked, Jacob crashed out on the couch thirty minutes before the new year!! He was so tired!

Lately I have been trying to "start" her out in her crib, but usually she ends up in bed with us. Tonight She has just been really "difficult" to please, or maybe spoiled (not possible)!! So she has assumed her position right smack dab in between mommy and daddy, and I am sure that at some point later in the night big brother will join us too! At least he has learned now not to wake me up to ask me if he can sleep with me, he just climbs on in very quietly. At some point in the middle of the night I wake up and he is just there!! As you can tell we are getting great use of our larger bed!!

Isabelle is 4 months old today on Christmas Eve! She is so alert and happy. We have been having fun with her and all her babbling latley. I think we have even found her tickle spot, (her ribs on each side), she laughs aloud when you tickle her there! It is so cute....

She is so alert and aware of her surroundings and who is around her, she loves her big brother, and watches him all the time. She will track him all around the room with her big blue eyes! She does have the biggest, prettiest blue eyes (not sure where they came from, or if they will stay that way). Happy 4 months sweet baby girl!! We love you!

Date night

Scott and I went on a date night to the movies. It has been so long since we went to the movies that I cannot even recall what movie we last saw! We usually stick to Netflix, or renting movies, but Jacob wanted to go to Grandma's house to play, so we got her to watch baby sister for a little while too! Thanks Mom!

Well we decided to go see the movie, I Am Legend, with Will Smith. We both thought the previews for it looked really good. We found that it was playing at the I-Max at the Edwards Houston Marq*e. So off we went...

Let me first say that the movie was really good, and Will Smith is an excellent actor. So much of the movie was just him, acting alone, which I can only imagine is a hard thing to do. However, I just wasn't prepared for the creepiness of the movie. It just wasn't at all what I expected it to be. I haven't had to get up and leave a theatre in the middle of the movie in a long time, but I just knew I probably couldn't handle one scene that was coming up that I just knew was going to be bad. It could have been the bladder buster Diet Coke too, but I just had to go to the bathroom and take a break from it all!! Anyway, it was a really good movie, and I would probably tell people to go see it, but maybe at this time of year (right before Christmas), it would have been better seeing something a little more light-hearted!!
That being said if anyone does go see it; PLEASE! Don't take your children!!! I saw a young couple bringing in their little boy and little girl before the movie started, they looked to be around 5 or 6 maybe. I had forgotten all about them until after the movie was over, and I was really amazed at the lack of responsibility some parents have. I would never take my child to a movie I wasn't sure about before thoroughly checking out the content, and rating!! Hello we do have a rating system for a reason!! those poor babies are probably going to have nightmares for weeks!
Well enough of my rambling!!! Go see the movie and decide for yourself! It was really cool in I-Max if that is available to you where you are!

One year ago today, we found out we were pregnant! What a great Christmas gift to be given!!! As some may or may not know, we were going through fertility treatments. We were so blessed to only have to endure one cycle of treatments. They were very stressful (and pricey), but well worth the outcome!

Today we celebrated Christmas with Mimi & Paw Paw Charlie at Auntie's house. Auntie and Chris had some really yummy food to snack on! Everything was really delicious. Thanks Auntie Tanya & Chris!! The boys had a good time playing darts outside, the kiddos had a great time running around too! Jacob got to play with his cousin, "baby Koen". I wonder how long Jacob is going to call him that? Anyway we had sooo much fun that we went back the next day for Christmas with Maw Maw Red! It was so nice of Chris and Tanya to have us all over twice in one weekend!! Well I started decoating the tree... It took me a few days to complete it, and it's not exactly the way I would like it, but with a husband out of town, a 5 year old still hyped up over his birthday and his presents, a 3 month old little girl, and a full time job, it's just going to have to do for this year!!! Here's a few shots after the fact. I will try to take some more as time allows!!

A Trip for Daddy

After the party Daddy had to get ready to leave for France. The kiddos were so tired (as were Mom and Dad too!) Lucky Daddy got to relax and sleep his way to France! Mommy got to go home with 2 overly stimulated, exhausted babies!! Funny how things work out like that! I think this is Scott's 2nd trip this year to Pau, France. Maybe one day Mommy will get to go along!

It sure helped make the week go smoothly. Luckily I was not on call this week at work, because I seriously think if I would have had to interrupt any of my sleep I would have ended up in the looney bin!!

Happy Birthday Jacob!!!

Today was Jacob's birthday, it's so hard to believe but he is 5 years old already!! My little baby boy is getting so big! We started the day out with kolaches from his favorite local bakery, Max Donuts. Ironically Jacob's birthday fell on field trip day. I surprised him the night before by telling him that mommy was going to go with him! He was so excited!! We got to school, did a little coloring, and waited to get ready for the field trip. The kids in his class were so super excited & hyper for the trip!

For the days adventure we headed to The and Woodlands Mall to go to Exploration Station .
The kids were taken on a tour of their little bug exhibit. They got to see spiders, walking sticks, cock roaches! Jacob was brave enough to pet one!! It wasn't the normal type it was a Madagascar hissing cock roach!

After the bug talk, it was dinosaur time! I think this was the favorite of all the kids, they really seemed to enjoy it! There is a large pit with a dinosaur skeleton, covered with "dirt" and the kids get all kinds of "tools" to uncover the bones! I have a few pics!

After the field trip fun, we headed back to school, the kids took a nap, and finished their day! I was tired, but it was fun! My mom & I finished up some party planning for the party on Sunday, and by then it was time for Jacob to be picked up. Scott went to pick up Brandon and we all went to eat at Zio's for dinner. We had a good time, but it was such a busy day, he was so tired!

After spaghetti & meatballs, the wait staff came to sing 'Happy Birthday' to Jacob, he was so cute, I think he got a little embarrassed, but I know he loved the attention!

No Turkey This Year!

Isabelle had her 1st Thanksgiving! No turkey for her this year though! She napped on Grandmas bed and played for a little while. Grandma made some really great food, she worked really hard, as usual. Daddy & Jacob ate lunch and then drove to Beaumont to visit at Paw Paw Charlie's house.

Happy Anniversary

Today was our 6th anniversary. We started the day off by clearing our room for our new bed, which is our anniversary and Christmas present this year! We got a Tempur-Pedic bed, finally in a King size! We spent most of the afternoon shopping for pillows, comforter, etc. It was nice spending the afternoon together. For dinner we went (without kids) to Fogo de Chao. This restaurant is a real experience! Not a place for vegetarians with their 'parade of meat' !!Definitely a place to go for special occasions. It was really good, especially since we hadn't eaten and just had a snack early that day.

We went out to eat for Gammaw's birthday. It was really yummy, we went to Buca di Beppo. It's a pretty fun place to go; the restaurant is decorated with all kinds of Italian pictures and stuff, it's really neat! Two Month Check-Up

Isabelle had her two month check-up today, and yes that meant shots too. Four of them!! Poor baby... We were waiting for the doctor to come in and I had her laying on the examination table. She was really enjoying herself for a while. I think she liked the noise she was making on the paper! Here's a little video!

She had a great check-up, and is doing really well. Here are her newest vital statistics!

She wasn't happy about her shots, but she did really well. I got to nurse her right after, so I think that helped soothe her, and then Grandma took her and she fell fast asleep!

Well Halloween has come and gone. Jacob had a party at school and got to wear his costume to school. He got up out of bed without having to be "pulled" or "bribed". We just went Trick-or-Treating for a little while. There seemed to be a lot of cars all over the neighborhood. It was kind of making us nervous. The weather was so nice last night and everyone was in their car! Is it so hard to get out and WALK with your children??!!

Funny story, last year one of the houses we went to had 2 scary figures, Michael & Jason. Apparently the teenage sons of the house. Anyway they were all dressed up just standing in their front yard, very still and very quiet. Jacob would not walk past them. He was way too scared, even if we tried to go with him! This year he kept saying he wanted to go to the 'ghost house'. I finally figured out that he wanted to go to that house. I told him we would go, but didn't know if they would be there. Well turns out they were. Jacob said he wasn't scared, walked right past them up to the door, got his candy and left. But as we were leaving he started shouting at them, "You can't get me... I'm not scared" it got louder and louder the further away he got from them.

I think we only were gone about an hour, Jacob got tired and thirsty, & Isabelle got fussy! So we called it a night!

Well we didn't win the lottery while I was on leave, so I had to go back to work :(

It sure was hard to leave her, but I did. I started back on Thursday. This was how I had to leave my little angel. Sleeping in mommy & daddy's bed. She didn't have any idea at all that when she woke up I wouldn't be there......

I haven't been away from her longer than an hour since she was born. Grandma said she was a little fussy that day, and only slept if she was held.

Our baby turned 8 weeks old on Firday. It is hard to believe time is passing so quickly. I thought I would post a montage I started working on last month. Jacob wants to be an astronaut!

I took the kids to Space Center Houston on Tuesday. I wasn't sure what all there was that would keep a 4 yr. old entertained, but there was alot!!! Jacob had a great time, he especially loved the Martian Matrix!! It's a really cool 3-story climbing structure.

After I had to "drag" Jacob away from Space Center Houston (we had not eaten lunch yet!), we went to the Kemah Boardwalk. I haven't been there in probably eight years, and I know alot had changed. Jacob and I ate lunch at The Crab Shack (the first place we came to). It was pretty decent. When we got done Jacob wanted to go ride the train. He had a great time! I shot a little video with my camera, poor thing kept thinking I was trying to take his picture. Here it is it's pretty funny! Be sure to pause the music player so you can hear the video!

The train ride was pretty cool, at one point it takes you through a tunnel under Saltgrass Steakhouse. There is a "shoot out" with some "cowboys". Jacob thought this was really cool! The first photo is one of the "cowboys", and the second one is Jacob's priceless expression as we left the tunnel.

On the train ride Jacob noticed the dancing water, so we headed that way! I think he probably played for about an hour & a half and got soaking wet! He had a great time though!

Baby sister and I stayed under one of those "cool zones" and out of the sun. She pretty much slept ( & ate) the whole time!
